SCORING: Based on 100 points.

60 points are awarded according to the judges' scores. 40 points according to the band's draw.

JUDGING
There are three judges. After a band's performance, each judge scores 0 to 5 points in four categories: Musicianship, Stage Presence, Song Writing and Originality. Each judge's total score providing 0 to 20 points to the band's total score.

TICKET SALES/BAND DRAW
0 - 40 points -- 1 point for every person the band draws (whether an advance ticket or at the door the night of the show) for a maximum of 40 points. Each band is provided 40 tickets to sell, if they so chose, in advance for 10.00 each. Admission on the night of each show is also $10.00. No band may receive more than 40 points in this category.

RULES:

There is no entry fee for this competition. The bands are not paid. Any band may perform in the competition without selling any or all of their allotted tickets. The competition is open to all local bands that wants to participate. There are still a few open slots.

The scores are posted on the Jack Rabbits web site (www.jackrabbitsonline.com) as soon as possible after the performance.

After the competition is complete, the ten bands with the highest scores will play the the Freebird Live on Sunday October 19th, 2008. (In the event of tie, the three judges will decide.) After watching the performances at the Freebird Live on October 19th, 2008, Planet Radio 107.3 will choose one band to play on the main stage of PlanetFest. The remaining nine bands will play on PlanetFest's second stage.
